Delivery giant DHL announced this week an upgrade to its EasyShip Connect software, a program that allows customers to make and track shipments.
Designed for users who ship up to 50 packages a day, the 8.0 version of EasyShip Connect is compatible with Windows Vista and allows business owners to pre-file export information with the U.S Department of Commerce. They can also designate a shipping administrator from within their companies to select service levels and keep track of expenses.
Other new features include dry ice shipping functionality, multi-piece air shipping on a single waybill, and connectivity with USB scales for automated weighing.
A DHL account number is required to download the software, which is available here.
More SCORE Resources
Washington-based SCORE, an entrepreneurship resource group, has added a new workshop to its roster of online tools. Creating an Online Presence is a free course designed to help business owners build and promote successful Web sites.
The workshop consists of 13 slides and includes tips on how to get started online, how to choose a hosting service provider, and how to spread the word about your new site. It's available at www.score.org/online_courses.html.
The group has also launched a blog for women entrepreneurs, which offers tips and insight from Betty Otte, district director of Orange County's SCORE office, and Peg Corwin, a marketing chair for the group's Chicago branch. Guest bloggers will also be featured.
