The Small Business Administration has launched a new 30-minute online tutorial to encourage business owners to reach out to buyers abroad. Global Enterprise: A Primer on Exporting offers tips on identifying global markets, developing an export strategy, orchestrating transnational payments, and financing trade operations. Through a combination of text and audio, it also gives general advice on determining a company's suitability for exporting.

The SBA has also partnered with the Commerce Department and the Export-Import Bank to offer personalized services through U.S. Export Assistance Centers. The centers are located in metropolitan areas around the country. For more information on locations, go here.

Podcast Tips

Washington-based SCORE, a nonprofit small-business resource organization, is offering a new podcast series for small-business owners and beginning entrepreneurs. The bimonthly broadcasts will feature both SCORE representatives and outside experts, and will address topics like branding, solo entrepreneurship, sales growth and franchising.

The first two podcasts are available at www.score.org and www.score.org/women, and offer tips on marketing your business in a weaker economy and how to get more done in less time. As future podcasts are added, previous broadcasts will be archived on both sites.
