Social Security Tops Mid-Term Election Issues
Nov. 1, 2006 -- Social security is a key mid-term election issue for small business owners, according to a survey released today by ShareBuilder 401(k), an online brokerage firm based in Bellevue, Wash.
While 70 percent of more than 500 owners polled identified social security as an important issue, fewer than half were aware of the new Pension Protection Act, the survey found. Of those that were, only 56 percent said it the act will impact how they plan to vote next week, the survey found.
