Energy Prices Worry Business Owners
Nov. 15, 2006 -- More than a third of small-business owners cite energy among their biggest costs, according to a national survey released today by the National Federation of Independent Business, a Washington-based lobby group.
Despite higher prices, only about half of the owners polled said they have tried to reduce energy consumption in the past three years.
A majority of owners cited vehicle operation as their largest energy-related cost, the survey found.
