Wells Fargo Boosts Small-Business Loans
Nov. 14, 2006 -- Wells Fargo increased its small-business lending last year by 30 percent to $18 billion, the San Francisco, Calif.-based bank reported today.
The nation's top lender for loans under $100,000 in 2005, the bank provided more than 680,000 loans to small business nationwide with an average loan size of about $26,000, according to Community Reinvestment Act data.
