Small Businesses Awarded NASA Contracts

 

Nov. 21, 2006 -- NASA has selected 287 proposals from small businesses nationwide for federal research and development contracts worth $28 million, the agency announced over the weekend. 

They included 260 proposals for contracts under the agency's Small Business Innovation Research program, and 27 under its Small Business Technology Transfer program.

Both programs award contracts of up to $100,000 for small businesses to evaluate the feasibility of innovative ideas that meet specific technology needs of the federal government, the agency said.
