Nov. 30, 2006 -- Personal incomes and consumer spending increased in October, as prices continued to rise, the Commerce Department reported on Thursday.
Personal income rose by 0.4 percent, the slowest pace since June, while spending rose by 0.2 percent after dropping by 0.2 percent in September, the report said.
Excluding food and energy prices, core consumer prices have increased by 2.4 percent in the past 12 months, the report said.
