Dec. 15, 2006 -- Smead, a Hastings, Minn.-based office products manufacturer, has released anti-microbial file folders to help reduce the spread of office germs, the company said Friday.

The folders are produced with Silver Zeolite, a substance which kills 99.7% of bacteria, mold, mildew, and fungus, the company said.

Anti-microbial versions of top tab and end file folders, end tab file jackets, pocket folders and portfolios, and expanding wallets are also available.
