Patent Office Director on IP Protection
Dec. 1, 2006 -- Jon Dudas, the Undersecretary of Commerce for intellectual property and director of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, will discuss intellectual-property protection for entrepreneurs on Friday, the office said.
Dudas is expected to press the importance of intellectual property for job creation and economic growth, as well as the threat piracy poses in a knowledge-based economy. His report will draw attention to businesses in Missouri and Kansas, but will also include issues on a nation level.
