Jan. 10, 2007 -- Sales at the nation's wholesalers rose 1 percent to $331.3 billion in November, while inventories surged by 1.3 percent to $396.7 billion, the Commerce Department said Wednesday.
As a result, the sales-to-inventory ratio rose to 1.20, the highest in more than a year, the report said.
Sales of durable goods rose by 1.2 percent, while nondurable goods rose by 0.7 percent, the report said.
