Private Employment Grows
Jan. 31, 2007 -- Private employment rose by 0.1 percent in January, following declines the previous month, a national employment-services reported Wednesday.
On a seasonally adjusted basis, non-farm payrolls grew by 152,000 in January, according to Roseland, N.J.-based Automatic Data Processing.
Declines in December reflected year-end updating of employment records, the report said.
