SBA to Help Florida Businesses
Feb. 12, 2007 -- The Small Business Administration is offering low-interest federal disaster loans of up to $1.5 million to businesses across several Florida counties hit by severe storms, tornadoes, and flooding on Dec. 25, the agency said last week.
Businesses of any size in Volusia County can apply for both physical and economic injury loans, while those in Brevard, Flagler, Lake, Marion, Orange, Putnam, and Seminole are eligible for economic injury loans, the agency said.
To be considered for the loans, which are also available to homeowners and renters, residents should first contact the Federal Emergency Management Agency at 800-621-FEMA.
