Inc. 500 Health-Data Firm Lists Approved Drugs
Feb. 22, 2007 -- Epocrates, a San Mateo, Calif.-based firm that supplies physicians with digital health-reference guides, is collaborating with Zynchros, a privately-held health-care technology firm, to digitize its approved drug lists and make the data available to more than 500,000 health-care professions nationwide, the companies said Thursday.
"We feel this integration will significantly accelerate the distribution of pharmaco-economic information to doctors, ensuring a more cost-effective prescribing decision at the point-of-care," Robert Pinkerton, president and COO of Zynchros, said in a statement.
Epocrates ranked No. 176 on the 2006 Inc. 500 list of the nation's fastest-growing private companies.
