Free Web-Based Text Messaging
March 7, 2007 -- SIPphone, a San Diego-based VoIP service, has launched a free Web-based service that allows users to send text messages to mobile phones, the company announced Wednesday.
Gizmo SMS lets users send text messages from any Web browser to any phone in more than 65 countries and on over 215 mobile networks, the company said.
