Two Inc. 500 Firms Receive Stevie Awards

 

March 9, 2007 -- Two Inc. 500 companies received Stevie Awards for Women in Business, a national award that honors women executives, entrepreneurs, and the companies they run, the companies announced this week.

Janine Popick, the CEO of VerticalResponse, a San Francisco, Calif.-based e-mail and direct-mail marketing firm, was awarded Blog of the Year for her E-mail Marketing Blog. She was also a finalist in the Entrepreneur of the Year category.

VIPdesk, an Alexandria, Va.-based virtual contact company, was awarded Best New Service of the Year for its VIPdesk Connect service. The service was launched in 2005 to provide virtual contact center services to national brand leaders.

VerticalResponse was ranked No. 402 on the last year's Inc. 500 list of the nation's fastest-growing private companies, while VIPdesk ranked No. 160 on the 2004 list.
