Skype Offers Knowledge-Sharing Tools
March 14, 2007 -- Skype, a Luxembourg-based Internet communications firm, recently released Skype 3.1 for Windows, which includes new features that allow users to share and sell expertise, the company said.
Through Skype Find, Skype users can list, rate, and review their favorite businesses, while Skype Prime enables small businesses and experts to sell consulting services within a broad knowledge marketplace, the company said.
Skype Prime, which is still in the beta stage of development, allows users such as financial advisers, tutors, or astrologers to charge clients per minute or by one-off fees charged on PayPal, the company said.
