March 15, 2007 -- Tangoe, an Orange, Conn.-based expense management company, has merged with TRAQ Wireless, an Austin, Tex.-based mobile-services management firm, the companies announced Thursday.

The new company, which will operate under the name Tangoe, will provide corporate technology-based software and services for voice, data, and wireless communications, the companies said.

"Our merger is in direct response to evolving needs of the marketplace," Tangoe's founder Al Subbloie said in a statement. "The combined capabilities of Tangoe and TRAQ enable corporations worldwide to manage the explosive growth of wireless, wireline, and data communications in a comprehensive, unified way."

Tangoe ranked No. 105 on the 2006 Inc. 500 list of the nation's fastest-growing private companies.
