Small-Business Owner Vies for Mrs. California Title
March 26, 2007 -- A small-business owner who was recently appointed to the California Small Business Board by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger will be vying for the Mrs. California crown this weekend in Sacramento, Calif.
Tracie Stafford, the president and CEO of Exceptional Events, a local corporate events marketing and management firm, is also the current chairwoman of the City of Sacramento Small Business and Employment advisory board, a board member of the Black Chamber of Commerce, and the past president of the National Association of Women Business Owners.
Six years ago, Stafford left a senior management position at Netscape to launch her own business that would be a "home away from home for its employees," according to the Black Chamber of Commerce. She currently lives in Sacramento with her husband and their four children.
The pageant, which will be held on March 31, is part of the nationwide Mrs. United States pageant series.
