VC Conference for Aging Boomer Market
April 12, 2007 -- Entrepreneurs looking to tap the aging baby boomer market are gathering in Silicon Valley this summer for a one-day venture capital conference, organizers said Thursday.
The Silicon Valley Boomer Venture Summit, co-hosted by the Executive Development Center at Santa Clara University's Leavey School of Business and Mary Furlong & Associates, seeks to promote business opportunities in housing, finance, healthcare, fitness, fashion, romance, and travel geared toward consumers aged 40 and up.
The annual event brings together entrepreneurs with investors, corporate strategists, and marketing expert. As such, it "provides a terrific opportunity for participants to network and share market strategies with venture capitalists," Mary Furlong, CEO of Mary Furlong & Associates, said in a statement.
It will be held at Santa Clara University on June 19.
