Giuliani To Address Latino Small-Business Event
April 13, 2007 -- Former New York Mayor and presidential hopeful Rudy Giuliani will be a keynote speaker at the 2007 Small Business Economic Summit hosted by the Latino Coalition next month in Washington, D.C., organizers said Friday.
The annual conference brings together Latino entrepreneurs and small-business owners from across the nation for workshops, discussions, and networking events.
"As Mayor, Rudy Giuliani received strong support among Latinos due to his leadership in growing the economy in New York City and resurrecting the inner city neighborhoods where many Latino families reside," Coalition Chairman Hector Barreto, the former head of the Small Business Administration, said in a statement.
Giuliani is the first of several presidential candidates expected to address the conference, organizers said.
