U.S.-India Business School Exchange
The Simmons School of Management in Boston has partnered with the Indian Institute of Management, a top business school in Calcutta, to create an exchange program for students to gain global business experience, school officials announced Wednesday.
In addition to providing students from both schools with the opportunity to study international business abroad, the partnership is designed to encourage women MBA candidates to engage in entrepreneurial activity and take on more leadership roles.
School officials hope the agreement will other foster faculty collaborations and understanding of cultural differences that help improve business relations between the two countries.
"My fundamental belief is that to be a successful leader or manager in organizations today, you need cross-cultural competencies and global experience," Deborah Merrill-Sands, Dean of the Simmons School of Management, said in a statement.
