Hurricane Preparedness Contest Launched
Office Depot recently launched a contest to identify Florida-based small businesses that are still unprepared for this year's hurricane season.
As an award, the Delray Beach, Fla.-based office supply chain will provide the three most deserving businesses with a $5,000 gift card and a complete preparedness makeover, company officials said.
Small businesses with one to 99 employees located in Florida's Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties are eligible to enter the contest. Businesses must submit a 500-word essay describing their needs for disaster preparedness. Entries are being accepted until June 23 at www.officedepot.com/hurricanecontest.
