Yahoo Contest Winners Named
A miniature fairy sculptor, the inventor of an alternative keyboard, and a children's playhouse builder will get to meet Ivanka Trump as the winners of the Yahoo Ultimate Connection contest for small businesses, organizers announced this week.
Melissa Belland of Made in Heaven by Missy, Mike Willner of AlphaGrip, and Glen Halliday of Kids Crooked House will also have lunch with marketing executives on a table suspended by a crane over New York harbor. The winners, who were chosen by Yahoo users, will each receive a $25,000 budget from Yahoo Search Marketing, expert advice from a marketing mentor, and a website redesign.
Videos of the finalists appeared on Yahoo after the entrepreneurs were chosen by Ivanka Trump and Yahoo executives based on essays about their businesses.
