New Minimum-Wage Requirements
As Tuesday marked the first day that the Federal Minimum Wage increase took effect, GovDocs, a St. Paul, Minn.-based labor law compliance firm, also reminded employers about displaying the new regulations in their workplace.
The firm's slogan, "Wages Up, New Posters Up," encourages employers to replace the old posters that have $5.15 as the minimum wage, with posters that display the new legislation of $5.85 an hour. According to the federal legislation, all businesses with at least one employee must display the new regulation regardless of whether the staff is paid hourly, salary, or more than the federal minimum wage.
