Survey: Business Plans Should Include IT
Fast-growing companies are quick to develop an information-technology strategy as part of a general business plan, according to a recent survey by CDW, a Vernon Hill, Ill.-based technology firm.
Of 150 senior officials at midsize entrepreneurial firms polled, half of the respondents in the fastest-growing businesses said they had hired full-time IT staff before reaching to 100 employees.
By contrast, some 20 percent of respondents said not incorporating technology into their business plan proved to be their biggest IT mistake, the survey found.
