SCORE Fundraising Hits $1 Million
SCORE, a national counseling group for entrepreneurs based in Washington, hit the $1 million fundraising mark this week, which will be used for workshops, events, and other resources for small-business owners.
"These donations make it possible for millions of entrepreneurs and small-business owners to receive an outstanding array of resource tools," SCORE CEO Ken Yancey said in a statement.
The group, which was founded in 1964 to promote entrepreneurship, currently has 389 chapters nationwide staffed by some 10,500 volunteers.
