Business leaders from private and public sector will meet in New York this October to discuss issues facing businesses based in the Big Apple, organizers said.

The "Future of New York City as the World's Business Hub" will look at the city's aging infrastructure, increased overseas competition, and the recent subprime mortgage crisis as challenges for local business owners. It will be capped by a keynote address by Mayor Michael Bloomberg.

The summit will be held on Oct. 2 at the Jumeirah Essex House. For more information, visit www.economistconferences.com.
