Ingram Micro (NYSE:IM) has unveiled new business-process and call-center outsourcing services that will allow reseller and vendor customers in North America to be more efficient without sacrificing customer service, company officials said.
Value-added resellers, retailers, e-tailers, and vendor partners will be able to purchase the initial setup and transition services for a one-time fee, then select from a menu of ongoing services for a monthly fee. These include call-center services, finance and accounting, purchasing and sales support, and promotional and licensing services.
Micram Ingro will help manage the relationship with the outsourcing services provider and offer onsite and offshore training. It has already launched a beta version of the service for Buy.com to help outsource business processes and call center activities, which was well received by both the company and its customers.
