Telefónica and RIM To Offer New Communications and Connectivity Software
Telefónica (NYSE:TEF) and Research In Motion (NASDAQ:RIMM) have partnered to offer a free PC-based software that will allow small groups, such as small businesses, enhanced communication and connectivity.
BlackBerry Unite! will enable groups of up to five users with mobile access to share calendars, documents, and other desktop content through their BlackBerry devices.
Features include e-mail and Web browsing, shared calendars for easy appointment scheduling, remote access to documents and other files, as well as device and data security.
The BlackBerry Unite! software will be available as a free download as of November. Telefónica customers can sign up to try the new software when it becomes available at www.blackberry.com/es/blackberryunite.
