CEOs Putting Execution Over Profit

 

For most of the world's chief executives, proper execution of corporate plans and strategies outweighs top-line profits on their list of priorities, a recent survey found.

Other top 10 concerns include finding qualified managers and top management succession, according to an annual survey of more than 750 global CEOs by the Conference Board, a New York-based private research group.

"This year's overall top challenge shows that CEOs from around the world are realizing that strong execution is a critical factor in driving profits and revenues," Jonathan Spector, the group's president and CEO, said in a statement. They're also becoming more aware of the importance quality employees play in building their business, Spector said.
