VMware has announced it will unveil the latest version of its VMware Infrastructure later this year.
VMware (NYSE:VMW) has announced it will unveil the latest version of its VMware Infrastructure later this year. The upcoming release, complete with ESX Server 3.5 and VirtualCenter 2.5, will be available in product packages designed and priced specifically for small and midsize businesses.
The new virtual infrastructure suite will allow customers to streamline IT management with increased automation, availability, and enhanced performance for mission critical workloads. Features include expanded storage and networking options, and expanded support.
Small and midsize businesses will benefit from the ESX Server 3i, which enables virtualization deployment; VMware Guided Consolidation, which enables simplified migration to virtual infrastructure; and VMware Update Manage, which automates patch and update management for ESX Server hosts and virtual machines.
Bundles will range from $2,995 to $14,495.
