Imation Unveils New 300 GB RDX Removable Disk Cartridge

 

Imation (NYSE:IMN) has expanded its line of RDX removable disk cartridges for small and midsize businesses. The new 300 GB capacity cartridge has the largest available capacity of any disk of its kind.

The RDX system is a low-end tape replacement solution that offers easy and reliable backup, data security and expandable storage to small and midsize customers. Ranging from 40 to 300 GB, RDX disk cartridges house high-capacity mobile 2.5-inch hard disk drives in a shock-proof shell that can sustain a fall from up to one meter. The cartridge, inserted into a dock, can be connected internally through SATA or externally with a USB. With a fast transfer rate of up to 45 MB/second, users can back up 100 GB of data in less than an hour.

The new RDX Removable Hard Disk Cartridge will be available for $499.99.
