Hewlett-Packard (NYSE:HPQ) is launching several new printing and imagining products and services in the coming months targeted at small and midsize businesses.
The new line is intended to help companies improve their marketing effectiveness through the creation and publishing of better promotional content. It includes the LaserJet P1005/P1006 Printer series, HP's smallest system yet featuring patented monochrome spherical toner, the LaserJet M2727 MFP (multi-function printer), a fully-loaded mono laser printer featuring Instant-on Technology for a fast first page out and enhanced network capabilities, and the Scanjet N7710 Document Sheet-feed Scanner, with 50-page automatic document feeder for document-intensive offices.
HP has also upgraded its Marketing Resources Software, a suite of free tools to assist smaller companies in producing professional-quality marketing materials in-house. It features a Print Cost Estimator, compatible with HP's Universal Print Driver, and free courses on topics ranging from how to create a high-impact brand to running a direct-mail campaign. The new LaserJets and an enhanced version of the Marketing Resources Software will be available in November, the new Scanjet in October.
