Hitachi Introduces Simple Modular Storage for SMBs

Hitachi (NYSE:HIT) has announced the launch of its simplified storage system aimed at small and midsize businesses. According to the company, the Hitachi Simple Modular Storage Model 100 is easy enough to install and manage that it requires no technical expertise.

Starting at just under $5,000, this simplified storage system features a highly intuitive wizard-based GUI setup and auto-configuration software. It plugs into any home or office using a standard power outlet. Scalable from under one to nearly nine terabytes of capacity with no onsite support required, it provides non-stop data availability.

The energy-efficient Simple Modular Storage System is fully compliant with RoHS (Reduction of Hazardous Substances) regulations.
