Callidus To Build SaaS Applications On Force.com

Sales performance management (SPM) company Callidus Software (NASDAQ:CALD)  has plans to develop several Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications on Salesforce.com's Force.com platform, to be designed with small and midsize businesses in mind.

Callidus will unveil more details about the initiative in November. Earlier this year, the company launched its TrueComp Suite on salesforce.com's AppExchange on-demand application marketplace.

"In addition to our existing market-leading on-premise and hosted on-demand solutions, our customers can now benefit from powerful, multi-tenant SaaS offerings," Leslie Stretch, senior vice president of global sales, on-demand and marketing at Callidus Software, said in a statement. "SPM solutions have rapid ROI and are proven to drive revenue and profitability."
