Bedford Reinforced Plastics manufactures fiberglass-reinforced structural shapes for use in construction projects, as an alternative to traditional building materials. Bedford replaced the steel handrails on the Niagara Falls observation deck, which were damaged by the constant mist in the air, with 1,000 feet of fiberglass-reinforced pultruded composite material.
