The name "Food Whore" was given to me by my youngest son Matty. This name given to me in good nature (although, I did have to resist washing his mouth out with soap). In my experiments with food I have given out plenty of samples to neighbors, friends, family, cashiers, teachers, librarians, dates, mail people, bank tellers, restaurant owners.. and
the list goes on.
One of my passions that is also a gift is my cooking. Although I have never been to school for cooking, I have read with great enjoyment many a cookbook, and with many hours logged on the web, checking out on line recipe sites, this has been my schooling. My priorities have been to raise 5 really great children, and have been at the forefront of my focus. With the realization of this gift I would really like to capitalize on it and get my goodies out there and get paid for it. One of my greatest joys are to see the look of "what is this and can I have more" on a persons face (or food lust).
My business would be for decadent desserts, with cheesecakes being the main focus. I have been able to sell some cheesecakes with really wonderful feedback. I have also contacted a local micro business office in my area. Unfortunately because of being a full time single mom and also full time employee at a busy privately owned restaurant I am unable to give enough time into my business.
One of my objectives for this money would be for me to take time off from work and put my extreme amount of energy into my business. Also using it for business cards, menus, and any other printed items, with the future towards online food sales.
