Re-Mission2 | HopeLab

Pam Omidyar was in graduate school studying immunology when she first had the idea for Re-Mission, a video game that would let young cancer patients virtually blast their cancer--and hopefully, improve their health. But it wasn't until 2001 that she founded HopeLab and began designing the game in collaboration with developers and doctors to create an experience for children battling cancer. The game's efficacy has been shown in several studies, and it's now in its second version.
