There are now 100,000 iPad apps, a new look for Gmail, the mysterious Hamptons ATM millionaire, and more.

Fancy an iPad app? There are now 100,000. Mashable reports that the ever-growing number of Apple iPad users now have 100,000 apps to choose from. This marks a milestone for Apple, which launched the iPad less than a year and half ago.

Google also rolls out new look for Gmail. Hot on the heels of the Google+ launch, the Gmail blog gives a sneak preview of a cleaner, brighter interface for Gmail, which will soon be accessible through themes settings for users.

Working this holiday weekend? Business Insider has a clever (and tortuous) story that rounds up all the other countries in the world that have more vacation days than the U.S. There are 39.

Help solve the mystery of the Hamptons ATM millionaire. The New York Times' Dealbook rounds up a week's worth of speculation surrounding a reciept found dangling off an average ATM machine in East Hampton, N.Y. that showed a balance of...$99 million. Or, $99,864,731.94 to be exact.

Facebook COO to be next Treasury Secretary? Mashable reports that Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg is one of the names being thrown around as a possible replacement for current Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner, after news broke that he was considering leaving his post soon.
