Common Sense Ideas from Everyday People
Cast your vote for the best public policy idea you believe will strengthen the economy and improve the lives of working people at SinceSlicedBread.com. Sponsored by the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), SinceSlicedBread.com asked people to send in their best public policy ideas, and received over 22,000 suggestions from across the country. A panel including economists, labor leaders and businesspeople helped whittle the list to 21 of the top ideas, and now SEIU is asking the public to choose the winning ideas, to be announced on Feb. 1. The ideas will receive SEIU's support. One overall winner will receive $100,000; two runners up will receive $50,000 each.
