Alpha Dogs: Great Ideas Still Need Solid Strategy

This week, I was a guest on CN8's Money Matters Today, along with entrepreneur Erica Salmon, the founder of Fantasy Fashion League, the fashionistas' answer to Fantasy Football. Instead of drafting linebackers and quarterbacks, you draft, say, Karl Lagerfeld and Dolce & Gabbana, then hope like crazy that Charlize Theron shows up in WWD wearing your designer's duds. When she does, you get points. You may now also ask your man to fetch you a glass of Chardonnay (as opposed to a Bud). It's a cool idea for a business -- a variation on an already highly successful theme -- and one that I'm betting has lots of people (read "women") slapping their foreheads and muttering "why didn't I think of that?"
