Capella Education, a seven-time Inc. 500 company based in Minneapolis completed an initial public offering of stock today that raised $80 million and valued the business at $307 million. As the Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal reports, the company had actually filed for its IPO back in April 2005. Capella is an online education company. In a press release, the firm announced that it was issuing 4 million shares priced at $20 a share. Credit Suisse served as the lead underwriter.
