Web-based Voice Mail

 

Did you know that you can manage your voice mail messages online?  Not only that, but some services will allow you to get the messages automatically transcribed or forwarded.  ComputerWorld recently reviewed four different free web-based voice mail systems – Google Voice, Phonebooth, Ribbit Mobile and YouMail – and the features they offer are pretty amazing

I've been using Jott for a long time and it is a great way to tweet, add to your Google calendar and create blog postings just by talking while driving down the highway.

Yes I'm one of those people.

When I was a kid, the phone always worked, nobody ever said "Can you hear me?" and while you couldn't play video games on your phone and take pictures with it, it was really excellent at making phone calls.  Has anyone noticed that this is no longer the case?
