Stimulus Bill Meets Resistance -- And Not From The GOP

Republicans aren't the only ones in the House digging in their heels on the Obama-Pelosi stimulus bill. Paul Kanjorski, Democrat of Pennsylvania and chairman of the deeply relevant Capital Markets, Insurance, and Government Sponsored Enterprises subcommittee of the House Financial Services Committee, today blasted his leadership for rushing the legislation. "I think we've lost our way in a way ... We shouldn't be pressed by these silly deadlines," Kanjorski told C-Span (as recapped in the The Hill). "I guarantee we're going to come back and we are going to have another stimulus, we're going to have another bailout for Wall Street because we are not doing these things properly."

You can watch Kanjorski deliver his dissent here.
