Response to Employee Request for Family or Medical Leave of Absence
Full Description
As a general rule, if you are subject to the FMLA, you need to make every effort possible to accomodate the needs of an employee who is sick, pregnant, or taking care of somebody else who is ill. The best way to respond is to treat the employee the way you would want to have an employer treat your mother -- that way, you'll avoid not only FMLA claims, but other employee lawsuits as well.
