StarTex Power supplies electricity to Texas-based residential and commercial customers.

Two years ago, StarTex Power began an initiative it calls the 'Block and Tackle' program, which asks employees to submit ideas they have to make the company run more efficiently. Feasible suggestions are immediately put into action, and the originator of the idea becomes the chair of a committee that tackles the project (alongside a senior-level employee). So far, more than 100 'Block and Tackle' initiatives have been implemented.
