When your employees are located around the country, having a unified corporate culture is absolutely essential, says Applications Software Tech's CEO, Pravin Kumar. The company, which provides Oracle consulting services, has made good on its promise to keep employees happy. "In business, all you have is your people," he says. The company stages two annual events that brings everyone in the company together for meetings. "But in the evening, everyone brings in their spouses and we go have fun." Kumar says his team of consultants generally work Monday through Thursday, a perk that probably contributes to the firm's minimal turnover rate—about three percent year-over-year.
