Employment at The FruitGuys involves a simple prerequisite: you must like fruit. Each week, the delivery company provides its employees with a free box of the same fresh fruit and vegetables they deliver to their customers. Employees are also expected to collaborate regularly and creatively. "I don't want people to think about trying new ideas and having them not work out as a failure," said CEO Chris Mittelstaedt. "I want them to see it as creative problem solving." With employees across the country, Mittelstaedt brings everyone together with video conferencing in all meetings and company-wide softball games.
