Nancy Squires founded her consulting firm with a simple business model. "I found good jobs for people, they worked hard, and I worked hard to support them," she says. Thirteen years later, The Squires Group continues to provide employees with supportive perks such as complimentary tickets to Baltimore Orioles baseball games, summer crab feasts, $1,500 referral bonuses and a homey office atmosphere that encourages employees to stay. "I have people who started with me on day one and have never left," Squires says. "We're in consulting. They could find jobs wherever they wanted but they stayed with us."
