When employees go above and beyond their 40-hour workday responsibilities, Torch Technologies rewards them with dinner and movie tickets delivered to their home with a thank you letter signed by CEO Bill Roark. "It's the best program we've ever implemented," Roark says. "I get notes from kids and wives after that literally bring tears to my eyes." Since implementing the award program in 2007, Torch Technologies recognizes around 20 or 25 employees every year. The engineering company also encourages cross collaboration among different projects and divisions by giving all employees ownership stock in the company.
